Mac
OS 9.0 Configuration
|
| 1.
This walk through is intended for people who would prefer to
manually set up their Macintosh compters, rather than go
through the Internet connection wizard. There are two places
in which settings need to be entered. Both of them can be
found in the Apple Menu, as seen below. |
 |
| 2.
Under the Apple Menu is the Control Panels option. When you
move the mouse cursor over it, you should get another list. |
|
| 3.
The first Control Panel that we are going to select is the
Remote Access control panel. This is where you will enter
your username, password, and the phone number that your
computer will dial. |
 |
| 4.
Your username, password, and local
dial-up number are all entered
where they appear in the following
picture. If you are unsure about
the phone number that you need
to dial, please consult either
the service area portion of our
web page, or call 1-866-OneWest. |
|
| 5.
The next Control Panel that we need to configure is the
TCP/IP control panel, also found in Control Panels beneath
the Apple Menu. |
|
| 6.
Finally configure your TCP/IP so that it looks like the one
below. You will now be able to connect and surf the
Internet. |
